Smart Money: 5 NFL Betting Lines You Should Put Money On This Week

Are 2-0 teams like the Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, and Cincinnati Bengals really as good as they’ve looked through the first two weeks of the 2018-19 NFL season?

And are 0-2 teams like the Oakland Raiders, Houston Texans, and New York Giants really as bad as they’ve looked through their first two outings?

Only time will tell! There is still so much of the NFL season that needs to play out.

But one thing is for sure: NFL betting has been as unpredictable as ever due to the surprising starts for some NFL squads.

The unpredictability will likely continue for at least a few more weeks. But in the meantime, there are some NFL betting lines that you should strongly consider jumping on during Week 3.

Consider placing your bets on these teams.

Oakland Raiders +3 On the Road Against the Miami Dolphins

There was so much hype surrounding the Raiders and their new head coach Jon Gruden heading into the season. Much of that hype has gone away now that the Raiders sit at 0-2.

But we’re guessing Oakland isn’t as bad as they’ve looked through their first two games, and something tells us the Dolphins aren’t as good as they’ve looked through their first two games, either.

That should result in a close Raiders win in Miami on Sunday.

Seattle Seahawks -1.5 at Home Against the Dallas Cowboys

There is no team happier to be playing at home this week than the Seahawks. They started the season off with two road games and really need a shot in the arm from their home fans.

We expect them to get it in a close game that comes right down to the wire. Look for Russell Wilson to bounce back in a big way from a Monday Night Football game against the Chicago Bears that saw him get sacked six times.

Washington Redskins +3 at Home Against the Green Bay Packers

On paper, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are a better team than the Redskins.

But the Packers are coming off an emotionally charged tie against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. It wouldn’t be crazy to see them experience a letdown against the Redskins during a tough road matchup.

Baltimore Ravens -5 at Home Against the Denver Broncos

The last time the Ravens took the field, they got shellacked on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football. With that fresh on your mind, you might be thinking that betting on the 2-0 Broncos would be the move here.

But the Ravens are a solid home team hosting an AFC West squad that has to play in the 1 p.m. Eastern time slot as opposed to their usual 4:25 p.m. Eastern start time. That should bode well for Joe Flacco and Baltimore.

Buffalo Bills +16.5 On the Road Against the Minnesota Vikings

The Bills have looked downright dreadful through the first two weeks of the season. There is already talk about them potentially doing what the Cleveland Browns did one season ago and finishing 0-16.

But anytime you see an NFL spread this high, sites like Oskeim Sports Picks will typically tell you it’s a good idea to take the underdog.

The Bills won’t beat the Vikings, but they should be able to hang around just long enough to cover in the end.
